The course will be facilitated through Zoom using and informal ‘lecture’ style & practical workshop sessions with plenty of opportunity for the exchange of ideas and experience.

Prior to the course and starting at 1:45 there will be a 15 min optional session covering the online tools and techniques we will be using to familiarise participants who are unused to online meetings.

This course uses a case study, practical exercises and brings in your experience covering key areas of concern in Independent Examination:

  • Materiality and risk
  • Adequacy of records
  • Vouching & analytical review
  • Qualification of reports

We will look at the above areas of concern alongside the ACIE workbook so you understand how this resource can support your IE practice.  We are aiming to build confidence in your practice.

You’ll get most out of the session if you complete the small amount of pre-course work requested – familiarising yourself with the case study and sending in any burning questions you would like to address during the session.

This course is for people with knowledge of charity accounting who are new to, or have some experience of independent examinations and are looking to develop their practice.

The course is open to members and non-members.

Delivered by Rachel Cooper.
