ACIE - Annual Conference

UK Wide

Online

The Association of Charity Independent Examiners recognises that the charity sector has been faced by its most severe challenge in decades.  The Regulators have responded by providing guidance on the impact of Covid-19 and the Association has strived to provide support to Examiners throughout the pandemic, who in turn support the charities for whom they work.  One of the ways we wish to do this is by offering our first virtual conference at a discounted rate for all attendees.

This year’s conference aims to reach all parts of the UK during these continued challenging times. The content includes areas to assist Examiners with their work whilst also recognising charities may be turning to Examiners, as an advisor, for help on other related matters.  We hope the topics provide you with additional insight to enhance the work you do for the benefit of Examiners and charities alike.

In order to address all jurisdictions we have parallel keynote speakers: we are delighted to welcome Maureen Mallon from OSCR, and a speaker from  CNNI as joint chair of the Committee and SORP-making body, to provide our annual updates.  Topical matters of interest include a presentation driven by the consultation on updated CC14 guidance on Responsible Investment and extended to endowment funds and the use of charity reserves.

We are also providing attendees with the opportunity to put questions to a panel of specialists.  All questions must be submitted in advance of the Conference to ensure you are provided with the most helpful and informative responses.  The event will end with a networking session, where delegates can meet with other members, to find out what’s happening in their region.
