Independent Examination in Challenging and Changing Times

*This event is now fully booked - thank you*

The charity sector has seen big changes over the last year, including the implementation of two new SORPs, intensive media attention and wholesale changes across fundraising regulation, increased digitisation and ongoing austerity. In such challenging and changing times, Independent Examiners can play an even more crucial role in supporting good governance and sound financial practice across the sector.

The conference will open with a  "state of the sector update" from Susan Smith, Editor of Third Force News followed by a regulatory update from David Robb, Chief Executive at OSCR.

As well as a packed programme of technical workshops, there will be an opportunity for you to feed into the OSCR consultation on the reporting responsibilities of independent examiners and auditors to the charity regulators.

We're delighted to be holding our conference at Perth Concert Hall this year, and we very much hope you can join us. Pre-booking is however essential, and the last bookings will be accepted on Tuesday 23 August (before mid-day) - though if you could book asap, that would be of a great help to us in terms of planning.

Nb. Please note there is a typo both below and in the downloadable PDF - session 2 actually runs from 13:45 - 14:45, and session 3 from 15:00 - 16:00, with a 15 minute tea/coffee break in between.
